Reflecting my talk and my piece already presented at the festival, a talk will be offered regarding how sampling is for everyone and how sampled materials can be treated creatively and related to issues in today’s world. This will take place on the first day and followed by a session where the participants will form groups and record sounds in Morelia which will form the material for a short composition. Day 2 is focused on the groups composing with the materials focusing on how, through organising sounds, we can raise awareness regarding our environment and climate change. The final part of that day will include a sharing of the works and a collection of participants’ views on this subject.
